What will a school leaver get out of the GROW Program?
GROW Participants will gain valuable experience in leadership, practical ministry and life skills, grow in their knowledge of God and establish their values and foundation in Him.
How much does it cost?
$100.00 payable at the beginning of Term 1 2027, this fee will go towards covering some of the program costs. (This fee is separate from any extra activities)
How long does the program go for?
The GROW program is a 1 year program that runs on Tuesdays during the school term.
What is the schedule like each term?
The GROW program runs most of the day Tuesday (11:15am till 5pm).
What happens on Tuesdays?
Every Tuesday there will be Personal Growth & Spiritual Growth related sessions along with Youth Space.
What happens at Youth Space?
Youth Space is a program run by the GROW participants and some of the youth team for high schoolers on a Tuesday afternoon. Youth Space is a place for high schoolers to hangout after school, we provide food and games.
Will there be a mission trip?
There will be an opportunity to link with our Young Adults overseas missions trip in addition there will be a weekend regional trip for all the GROW participants.
How much will the overseas missions trip cost and when is this due?
The overseas mission’s trip costs are dependent on duration and location of the trip. It’s recommended that those interested prepare to have $3,000 to $4,000 available. This money would be due 2 – 3 months before the trip.
How much will the regional trip cost and when is this due?
The regional trip costs are dependent on duration and location of the trip. It’s recommended to prepare to have $300 to $500 available. This money would be due 1 month before the trip.
Will the GROW Participant be youth leading?
Youth Leading is not a requirement of the program. Each Participant can discuss with the Youth Pastors about their involvement with our Friday night youth program.
Who oversees the GROW Program?
Jono Andrews oversees the program under the guidance of the Senior Ministers of C3 Church Ryde. Our Youth Pastors are also highly involved in the happenings of the program.
What does Mentoring look like for the GROW Participants?
The Participants will be paired up with a high level member of C3 Church Ryde who shares similar interest / works in the vocation that the participant feels drawn to. This member will listen to and also input into the life of each participant.
Who will be presenting at the Spiritual & Development sessions?
A broad range of people with different life skills will be inputting into the program. People such as the staff and pastors of C3 Church Ryde, members of C3 Church Ryde who are high level in their vocations.
